My Bleach mutuals prolly already got their pitch forks nā torches out nā ready to track me down. BUT PLEASE, put your weapons down and hear me out guys.
Okay. I know she isnāt any Rukia, I know she aināt a shinigami, I know sheās considered āweakā by just about everyone. But me? I beg to differ. Orihime in my eyes is an amazing character. I love this girl to the moon and back. Orihime is such a gentle, kindhearted, damaged, yet strong girl. To me sheās somewhat of an inspiration to keep going on in life no matter how terrible things get for you. For the longest Hime was physically abused as a child so bad that her brother thought their parents would literally kill her, so he took her and decided to live with her on his own. He was the only person she had for the longest, eventually he died an unfortunate death and she was left alone basically with the exception of Tatsuki and Ichigo entering her life she really was fending for herself. But not once did she ever give up 100%. No matter whatās go in Orihimeās way sheās always done her best to prove she can get through it. She knows she canāt fight as good as everyone else, she knows she isnāt as strong as Ichigo, Rukia, Uryuu, etc. but that doesnāt stop her from going to the front line and helping out those she cares for. She wants to protect everyone just as much as Ichi does, sheās always doing her best no matter how hard it is for her. Sheās put herself in such life threatening situations basically sacrificing herself to make sure those around her are all healed and okay. And for her to be deemed āweakā just because she isnāt a shinigami or quincy pisses me off. Strength doesnāt have to come from being a shinigami, a quincy, or just being super strong in anyway. Orihimeās strength shines from her beautiful heart and soul. Her determination to protect. Her determination to see the best in life and keep going.
Orihime went from living alone, having no family, and just being overall so lonely to having a group of friends who would die for her, a husband who came back from the verge of death because he couldnāt stand to see her cry, a father in law + sister in laws who care tons for her nā love her deeply, and a child with her eyes and her hair who is filled to the brink with love for her.
Orihime is strong and has been through so so much. I admire her and will continue to love her character till the day I die.
